If I were a single woman, and a man I like on Facebook Initiated a connection with me, here a some steps that I will take.
1. Profile Check: I will take a look at his profile to gather information about his interests, hobbies, and general background.
2. Mutual Friends: I will check if he and I have any mutual friends, which could provide additional insights into his character.
3. Evaluate Initial Message: I will assess the tone and content of his initial message. Does it seem friendly, respectful, and aligned with my comfort level?
4. Respond Promptly: If I am interested, I will respond promptly to show that I appreciate the connection.
5. Engage in Conversation: I will initiate or engage in conversations about shared interests or common topics that I have identified when I looked through his profile.. This helps build a connection.
6. Ask Questions: I’ll show genuine interest by asking questions about his life, experiences, and opinions.
7. Gradual Sharing: I’ll share information about myself only when I have assured myself that he is not potentially harmful to me. And when I do start sharing such information, I’ll do so gradually. I’ll definitely avoid disclosing overly personal details too soon.
8. Establish Boundaries: I’ll clearly communicate my boundaries and expectations for any interaction between us.
9. Video Calls or Voice Messages: I’ll consider progressing to video calls or voice messages if both of us are comfortable with them.
10. Public Meetings: If and when I feel comfortable and there’s mutual interest, I may suggest meeting in a public place to get to know each other better.
11. I will not respond to any sexual innuendos. In fact, I will shut down any conversation with sexual innuendos and block the man immediately.
I will remember to trust my instincts and prioritize my safety at all times. I will take things at a place that feels right for me and will not allow myself to be pressured in any way.
